Operations Executive

Remote – Fulltime Position

We are looking for an experienced Travel Agent Operation Executive to coordinate Tours On Place bookings in Costa Rica. The right candidate will be responsible for managing the reservations and operation of all 90% online and 10% offline bookings.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in the travel industry. Product management knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be the first point of contact for our customers and suppliers, delivering a first class experience via phone, email, live chat and social media.
  • You will take ownership for every customer journey, using your empathy and expertise to anticipate and understand customers’ needs.
  • You’ll troubleshoot issues, and find smart, practical solutions to resolve all customer queries promptly.
  • You’ll constantly be on the lookout for innovative ways to improve our processes and will collaborate across the business to implement them.
  • You will be the eyes and ears of the business – making sure that the right people know what our customers and suppliers are saying.
  • You will become an expert in all things Parade and will share your expertise and your passion for the brand with your customers.
  • You will update our providers product data to ensure best customer experience.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Travel Industry background
  • Previous customer service or operations admin experience.
  • A proactive problem solver with the initiative to own and resolve issues.
  • A “can-do” attitude and a positive approach to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with impeccable grammar and spelling and outstanding attention to detail
  • A multi-tasker who is able to prioritize effectively and with the ability to work calmly and logically under pressure.
  • You have previous experience in an DMC environment, particularly in the operation department
  • You’re not just looking for a boring 9-5!
  • You know your way around an Excel (or Google) sheet
  • Take project governance seriously and always looking to find better ways of working

Qualifications

  • 2+ years proven experience in similar positions
  • 1+ years working in the travel industry
  • Well knowledge of Costa Rica geography and truism product
  • A hospitality or business management degree is a plus but not indispensable
  • You love the travel industry and you will love to be part of an international team
  • Hubspot knowledge is a plus
  • You are a person who loves PR events and B2B relationships
  • You are fluent in English as well as in Spanish
  • You are open to travel in Costa Rica and overseas
  • You are open to learning about marketing and CRM tools
